Why Install CCTV Security Cameras?

Modern CCTV systems do far more than record footage. Today's IP cameras feature AI motion detection, facial recognition, licence plate capture, and real-time mobile alerts — giving you complete visibility of your property 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world.

Deter Crime Before It Happens

Visible security cameras are one of the most effective crime deterrents available. Studies consistently show that properties with visible CCTV systems are significantly less likely to be targeted by burglars, vandals, or trespassers. Our dome and bullet cameras are designed to be conspicuous — making your security posture clear before anyone sets foot on your property.

24/7 Night Vision Coverage

Our IP cameras use infrared (IR) and full-colour low-light technology to deliver crisp, detailed footage even in complete darkness. Colour night vision cameras capture identifying details — clothing colours, vehicle colours, and facial features — that traditional IR cameras miss. Many of our cameras can see clearly at distances of up to 50 metres in zero-light conditions.

Remote Monitoring on Any Device

Every NVR system we sell supports remote viewing via smartphone, tablet, or PC. Using apps like Hik-Connect, DMSS, or a standard web browser, you can check live feeds, review recorded footage, and receive instant push notifications for motion events — whether you're at work, on holiday, or interstate.

Evidence That Holds Up

High-resolution footage at 4MP, 6MP, or 4K resolution captures the level of detail needed for police reports and insurance claims. Our NVR systems can store weeks or months of continuous footage locally, with optional cloud backup. Time-stamped recordings provide unambiguous evidence in the event of an incident.

Smart AI Detection — Fewer False Alarms

Older motion detection systems trigger on leaves, shadows, and passing headlights. Our AI-powered cameras distinguish between people, vehicles, and animals — sending you relevant alerts only. This means you get notified when a person approaches your front door, not every time a bird lands on your fence.

Scalable From 1 Camera to 64+

Our range scales from a single standalone camera for a small apartment to enterprise-grade 64-channel NVR systems covering entire commercial sites. Start with a 4-camera package and expand as your needs grow — all cameras in our range are compatible with our NVR systems, so adding channels is straightforward.

How to Choose the Right CCTV System

1

Decide How Many Cameras You Need

A typical single-storey home requires 4 cameras to cover all entry points — front door, back door, driveway, and side gate. Two-storey homes or larger properties generally need 6–8 cameras. Businesses with car parks, loading docks, or multiple access points often require 8–16. Our team can advise on camera placement for any site.

2

Choose Your Resolution

2MP (1080p) is adequate for general monitoring. 4MP offers noticeably sharper detail for identifying faces and number plates at moderate distances. 4K (8MP) is ideal for wide-area coverage where you need to digitally zoom into specific regions of the footage. For most residential installations, 4MP strikes the best balance of cost, storage, and detail.

3

Pick Your Recording System

NVR (Network Video Recorder) systems work with IP cameras connected over Cat5e/Cat6 cable or Wi-Fi. They offer the highest resolution support, PoE (power over ethernet), and remote access capabilities. All our packages include a matched NVR and cameras. We also sell NVRs separately if you're expanding an existing system.

4

Consider a Complete Package

Our CCTV packages bundle cameras, an NVR, and the cable needed to connect everything — saving you the effort of sourcing compatible components separately. Packages are designed to work out of the box, and our product pages include data sheets and user manuals to simplify installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

IP cameras (also called network cameras) transmit digital video over standard ethernet cable (Cat5e/Cat6) or Wi-Fi. They support much higher resolutions — up to 4K — and allow flexible placement since a single PoE cable carries both power and data. Analogue cameras require coaxial cable and a separate power run, and are limited to lower resolutions. All cameras we sell are IP cameras, giving you the best image quality and the simplest wiring.
Our systems are designed for DIY installation. Each package includes a matched NVR and cameras that communicate automatically once connected. We include user manuals and data sheets for every product, and our support team is available to walk you through setup. That said, if you'd prefer professional installation, we can refer you to licensed installers in most Australian states.
Most single-storey homes are well covered by 4 cameras positioned at the front door, back door, driveway, and a side or rear access point. Two-storey homes or properties with larger perimeters typically benefit from 6–8 cameras. If you're unsure, contact our team with your floor plan or a description of your property and we'll suggest a layout.
4MP (2560×1440) is our most popular choice — it delivers sharp enough detail to identify faces and read number plates at typical residential distances, without the storage demands of 4K. If you need wide-area coverage or plan to zoom into footage frequently, step up to 4K (8MP). For budget-conscious installations where general awareness is the goal, 2MP (1080p) is still a solid performer.
Yes. Our cameras use built-in infrared LEDs to illuminate scenes invisibly at night, typically to distances of 20–50 metres depending on the model. Many cameras in our range also feature colour night vision using starlight sensors, which produce full-colour footage in very low light — capturing clothing colours and vehicle colours that IR-only cameras show in black and white.
Yes. All our NVR systems support remote viewing via iOS and Android apps. Hikvision systems use the Hik-Connect app; Dahua systems use DMSS. Once set up, you can view live feeds, play back recordings, and receive motion alert notifications from anywhere with a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.
PoE stands for Power over Ethernet. It means a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable runs from the NVR to each camera, carrying both the network data and the electrical power. This eliminates the need for a separate power adapter at each camera location, making installations neater and significantly reducing cabling costs. All our NVR systems include built-in PoE switches.
Storage requirements depend on the number of cameras, resolution, and how many days of footage you want to retain. As a rough guide, a 4-camera 4MP system recording continuously generates around 40–60GB per day. A 2TB hard drive (included in most of our packages) gives you approximately 30 days of footage. For longer retention, we offer 4TB and 6TB upgrade options.
All outdoor cameras in our range carry an IP67 rating, meaning they are fully dustproof and protected against temporary immersion in water. They operate reliably in Australian summer heat, coastal humidity, and heavy rain. Indoor cameras are rated IP20 and are designed for sheltered environments only.
Every product we sell carries a minimum 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Warranty claims are handled directly by our Australian team — you don't need to deal with overseas manufacturers or freight costs. Our returns policy also allows change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery.
